Now wait a minute here, I did the very same thing and was told by a reliable scource that if you break a wire

that the turntable was more or less junk after that because the headshell wires HAVE to match the wires that run through the tonearm unless you are prepared to rewire the tonearm. Now that was what I was told by someone who is supposed to be so very much more knowledgeable about these things. He came right out and told me to buy a new turntable
Now I can't really just run out and buy a new turntable and I have another Pioneer headshell that came with wires and also more wires that are a tad heavier. I also know that wires can be readily had on ebay. I would post a link for you but I was bitched at for posting links to ebay products because they only belong in the Dollars and Sense forum. I ain't figured that out yet as I wasn't selling anything just pointing something out but oh well, it's always something. But anyway, check out the bay, wires run from $5.00 to $10.00
