too many speakers for my qrx7001?? is that possible?

my sansui qrx-7001 in quad mode uses 4 speakers in the "A" selection...and 4 more speakers for the "B" selection.

on many occasions i use the selection "A+B"...thats 8 speakers.

now this gets worse....

inside - on "A" i have fraziers for rear channels.....8ohm.....and EV sp12....16ohm?

and outside on "B" i use 4 bozak bards....pretty sure these are 8ohms....but i have used "B" in the past for 2 bozak symphony speakers - 16ohm - and 2 bozak 302a speakers...pretty sure these are 16ohms.

am i unknowingly burning up my receivers?

id like to get this thought out before i move on.

You should be OK. Remember that there are four separate amp channels in the QRX models so you are only putting two speakers in parallel on each one. As long as you're not putting a load less than 4 ohms on each channel, you should be fine.

At this point, I have a QRX-x001 museum in my house. (9001, 8001, 7001, 6001, most still being worked on.) They're great. The 7001 and up have impressive power transformers so I'm guessing you can play your 8 speakers fairly loudly and all will be good. Rock on! :guitar:
