Too much for my G-6700?

I have a pair of Era Design D4 speakers that my Sansui G-6700 (new to me) is driving and it gets warm - not hot but warmer than I am used to... I doubt that there is any imminent danger here but I am worried about the effect over time on the G-6700. The speakers say "6 ohms" on the back even though the dealer who sold them to me said they were 8 ohm. I can't find anything that says the G-6700 was rated at 6 ohms and Sansui (the company) is worthless - the young woman who answered my telephone call couldn't even find the model number and was clueless...

If anyone who has a G-6700 has noted it runs warm but has seen no ill effects, I would love to know; conversely, if it is unusual for the G-6700 to run warm, I'd like to know so I can preserve the receiver (it has just been serviced) and find another solution.

The G 6700 can easily drive a pair of 6ohm speakers. The safe operating range is from 4-8 ohms. These amplifiers can run quite warm and will do so if you are running it from moderate to high levels at the 4 ohm end of the scale.
However it would be a good idea to check it's bias to check if it is in range, it is possible the bias may have drifted over the years, and this could cause it to run warmer than it should.
Summary, if the bias is good, make sure it is well ventilated, crank it up and enjoy!!
