Took in some stray Onkyos

My wife's friends husband was throwing out some older Onkyo speakers. So instead of seeing working speakers get trashed I took them in. They're Onkyo Fusion AV SK-40s, which I can't find out much about (not a good sign). I'm figuring they're not that great but does anyone know anything about them?

They belong in the trash.:thumbsdn:
Here's a test. Knock on the back. If you hear a hollow sound, throw them out. If you hear little or nothing and you hurt your hand, they could be ok. All the newer Onkyo speakers I have seen came with rack systems and had 1/2" thick particle board cabinets glued together with the minimum amount of hot melt glue they could use, The glue gets loose and the cabinets vibrate. The drivers are junk.

So I finally got a chance to mess with these some more. They definitely aren't what people would call a good Onkyo speaker. Thin walled enclosure and they're pretty boomy. But they work and for free they'll make a good garage or starter kids speaker. Also snapped some pictures with my phone. Excuse the quality my sister is the photographer not me.
