hey i saw willie twice last year (once at nokia live, once at the 4th of july picnic with bobby dylan) and they were both awesome shows

I saw them a few years back and I thought Greg was as bored as they come with no vitality. The rest of the band was good but if you saw them in their Duane days you experienced their peak, IMHO. Their creativity was spurred by Duane and his musical influences, some of which was free form jazz. Their energy was amazing and Greg actually looked and performed like he meant it.

I try to avoid any band with a singer too old to hit the high notes of their younger days. The effects of gravity on the vocal cords are not pretty. Lindsay Buckingham is a good example. Downright painful to listen to these days. And Glenn Frey of the Eagles is almost as bad.

Anyone heard Ian Gillan lately.

I would like to see Jethro Tull one more time though. When they do come they play Massey Hall, which, at about 1600 seats or so is my favorite concert venue.

I beg to differ on the Allman Bros.- Saw them in Knoxville several years back & I thought they were simply DREADFUL. They had a 45-minute rendition of somebody beating on a cowbell. Seriously. Most people took advantage of this to go to the can. OTOH, it was terribly hot 'n' muggy, the sound-in the 1982 World's Fair park- was atrocious, it just wasn't a good night. Sometimes, that just happens...
 
Still think the Stones at the Superbowl thing was about the worst. OK, OK, they were still "good" & all that, but the spectacle of a bunch of 60-yr-olds trying to pass themselves off as rebellious 18-20 yr-olds was, pretty lame. Hey guys, y'all have had a good run, you've made beaucoup money, bedded lotsa gorgeous babes, time to hang it up & enjoy yr grandchildren...
 
Saw Percy Sledge and Jerry Lee Lewis back in February. Talk about somebody that should go sit by the graveyard and save hearse expense it would be Jerry Lee. I love Jerry Lee, but he has pushed through the concert envelope. On the other hand Percy has still got it. Right down to when he sang Procol's A Whiter Shade of Pale. The concerts I have been to lately are usually solo's from band members. My next concert will be to go Steve Howe of Yes on the 28th. One of my favorite guitarist's of all times.
 
Paris Hilton. Definitely past her prime and overexposed to boot.

Jimmy Buffett peaked with "Son of a Sailor" then lost his muse.

Grateful Dead were a great show up until Garcia OD'ed.

Tuck and Patty also seem tired.
