Toshiba 2SD424, original or fake?

Got this replacement Toshiba transistors from reliable source, still wondering if someone have seen this kind of Toshiba logo? Not sure how long those were produced and if there was any change in lettering during production span?
So far (6 months) working fine and tested under heavy load of 110W amplifier.

I would guess fakes. Pull one and look at the bottom. If it's flat or has a circle on it, it's most likely fake.

Search for the part number at check out the pics. There are a few threads on AK about them.

I installed them but do not feel like taking them out just to double check, power amp board is PITA to access. As far as I remember they were flat and no circle at the back. Got them from reputable AK-er but still confused by logo. As mentioned above, few times I did run the amp pretty hard for 5-10 minutes and nothing happened. And left and right channel sound pretty much the same to my ears.

I've never seen Toshiba parts without the script like your originals have, but I don't really dwell in the land of solid state very heavily.

If the bottoms have an hourglass-like figure in them, you are good. They look fine from the top - newer style than the others.

if they work fine then rather than fake i would regard them as good copies if not made by Toshiba or under licence .

Hmm, I know the hourglass shape on a few 100% original Toshibas I had taken from the old amps . That is heat dissipation plate I guess, again do not remember if those had it . I hope Pete is right that transistors are
at least good - if not genuine.
