Toshiba SA-7150 Function Control?

My tech is trying to fix my Toshiba SA-7150 receiver. He tells me the function control needs replacing but he has been unable to find a replacement for it.

Anyone know where I might find one?

I down loaded the SA-7150 SM from HiFiEngine. It's the "Switch, Rotary, Function" Part No. 22195205. I checked the Parts List for the other late 1970s Toshiba receivers available on HiFi Engine to see if the same switch was used in any of the other receivers. Unfortunately it appears to be unique to the SA-7150.

I realize that this is a pretty rare receiver and the odds on finding this part are not good ... but hope springs eternal.

What kind of failure was experienced that this is the root cause? Frankly, switches tend to not be a real failure point unless they have been abused in some way.

They are also very costly to replace reliably even if the part is in hand.

Thanks for your input ... Don't know what caused the switch to fail but I will ask the tech if he has any idea what caused it.
