Toshiba Turntables

So I recently aquired a Toshiba SR-F770. It's fully automatic & dd. My tech serviced it and stated that it's a well built tank with a monster of a motor. It sounds & performs great. The problem is that no real user information or reviews can be found online. Yes... the vinylengine has a DL of the user & service manual on it's site, but I'm looking to hear from actual owners. It looks like Toshiba had better marketing in Canada because the majority of Toshiba turntables being sold are coming outta there. I'm also looking to pick up a SR-250 tomorrow (11/12/19). I'm looking forward to reading some actual input about these under rated turntables. Also I've read that Toshiba might have had a relationship with Micro Seiki. I'm curious as to what models if this is true. Lastly Toshibas were manufactured in Japan. Did they make them themselves or source them out to CEC?

I like the DD full auto turntables. Can’t comment on this one though. It definitely has that silver look I like. I’ll have to put Toshiba on my short list of turntables to look at and try not to buy. :)

If you need any part for that table let me know I have a wreck here that has a bad board. To bad because it is a nice table.

I have an SR 340 - another local member had one and I do see the odd Toshiba TT for sale up here but still, they are not all that common.

I have an SR-F335 that I purchased from a hospice charity sale, due to its age I thought it best to strip it completely and check on its condition and I was stunned by it, it was very well made and didn't need anything doing to it so I just cleaned/lubricated and reassembled it, what an underrated TT, its quality is better than some more renown makes.
I would like to hear from other owners and hear what they have to say about them.

Older thread, but what the hey .... just sold this after cleaning it up, adjusting speed pots (speed is adjustable with quartz lock off), new strobe bulb, replenish cueing fluid ... and polish dust cober. SR-630.

That's a looker! Toshiba wasn't that common but they had some nice models.

I have a wonderful Toshiba SR-F335 but it has a big crack in the acrylic dust cover, I have looked on many sites for a replacement but without any luck, so I'm asking nicely that if anyone knows of one in good condition please let me know.
Thanks.

Check with JnB Audio, they make replacement dust covers and I'm just about sure they make custom covers.

Actually not allowed under forum rules .... to solicit or offer anything ... but are there similar Aurex or Taya models to yours? That might widen your search parameters.
