Totem Claw Feet Screw Size

Good morning - does anyone know the proper size screw to mount Totem claw feet? I have a pair of Totem Arros that came without bases, and the claw set I purchased didn't come with screws. Also looking for suggestions to see if Spax screws would be best, or should I pre-drill with standard screws?

Thanks for any suggestions!
