I have a nice looking and sounding Marantz 2325 that I was thinking of trading for a Sansui au 9500. I have the Tu 9500 tunner but not the integrated amp. I know that Marantz go for a bit on the bay.

Sansui au 9500seem to be more rare. I would amagine that all Marantz fan would say keep the 2325. I was just wondering if anyone had a chanse to compare these or what kind of experiences have you had with both units.

Kind of a hard choise. I know I would be able to find a 2325 easier but for what price and condition.

What do you think?

I would say ....... not straight up if at all possible ... Haggle brother , Haggle ......... :D

Hi AudioPuppet,

I see you are quite a Marantz fan. Which one do you like best sound wise?

I have a 2225 and it sounds really good for a 25w per channel. What do you think of this unit?

I don't think I have seen anyone own so many Marantz units!:thmbsp:

I say keep the Marantz the Sansui is a nice amp but will not make up for the loss of the Marantz.

Sorry for the delay , it looks as if I'm always online cause I never log off . Can't be bothered typing my password :D

The 2285B to me is the Marantz Flagship Receiver does everything well and nothing wrong. The perfect receiver , combining , the warmth of the early 70's , Killer Fm , Sexy Ass Good Looks. sounds like separates , I simply love it !!!

IMHO ....... The 2225 is one of the best sounding smaller wattage receivers ever made. ( in proper working condition ) Thats why its part of my stash :music:

*update* (of sorts)

I saw an ad on a local site about "sonix" Marantz. I contacted him telling him I had an original wood case for his receiver on the cheap if he kept it. We chatted a bit and he is now keeping the 2325

I've tried a few Sansui products. If you like the Marantz "house sound" you may not be very impressed with Sansui. Not that they made a bad product - it's their "house sound" I was never fond of. I have tried a few of their separates and was never overly excited about them. But then again I was never thrilled with McIntosh either.
