Transcriptor Skeleton Motor Help

Hi all, recently am working on a Transcriptor Skeleton Turntable from a client and unfortunately it looks like someone else worked on it in the past and messed with the old motor config. Currently the motor when plugged in shudders, and when the switch that they installed is pressed, it then starts to turn after a while and some manual pushing on the platter.

Is this normal.

Here’s the current motor:

And here is the spare the client dropped off, it’s 50Hz and 110V but I’m not sure if I can install this new one (USA).

And then I’m terms of the actual semi ch and how the motor should be turned on, can someone post a picture of what it should look like. Here’s mine and I’m not sure the wiring is right, or at least the on switch?


Any help or schematics is greatly appreciated!

To turn it on/off, you rotate the knob to the left of the motor so that the rod sticking out is over the reed switch to the left of it.. At least, that’s how it works on my Transcriptor Saturn.
Yes, I know it sounds weird - they were trying to be different..

If possible would you mind sending a photo of what your motor / on / off switches look like so I can get a clue? This aftermarket switch they installed is weird and I'd like to get it back to original functionality as much as possible. Thanks!
 
Does anyone have a list of 240VAC 50Hz motor speeds and pulley sizes for UK/Australian Transcriptor Skeleton turntables? 600RPM motor or 720RPM motor? I suspect the 720RPM motor is a 600RPM run at 60Hz (IE: USA). Does anyone have the full story here? I have a dead motor that was running backward (CCW), and we are not sure what the replacement Crouzet motor speed should be. I would be very grateful for some help here.
