Transistor cross reference

I'm having a little trouble finding replacement transistors.. here's the original part numbers and what i've found so far.

2SA606 replace with 2N5416 (mouser)
2SC959 replace with 2n3340 (mouser)
2sc945q ECB config replace with KSD 1616AGBU (mouser)

I found all the replacement numbers on various AK threads.

Is there anything better I should be replacing them with?

Here's the one I can't find though, the pain in my @$$.. the 2SC853 (M,L)

Been searching for 2 hours now.. and haven't came up with anything :tears:

Any suggestions?

search for ksc945C - the C suffix has the collector in the center, same as original 2sc945. (2sc945 is usually used in power supply and current limiting - neither application is critical and lots of leeway on possible subs)

I know it's a pain with the c as the middle leg but depending on the board layout you can sometimes just turn them.

945c suggestion a good one.

Parts Express has original 945's but I thought if you were ordering from Mouser it would be best to use them.
