I stumbled upon this very cool educational video and thought I'd post it up for those, including me, have a hard time understanding how stuff works on an electron level.
The visualisations in this video really makes it easier to understand than someone throwing technical jargon at you in the hope you grasp the concept.

Very well thought out explanation. They did leave one thing out though. How they put the magic smoke in them. I do know how to let it out however.

Nice explanation as to the basics of transistor operation. The Magic Smoke is the junction exploding violently.
