Hi, can anyone help me with this transistor?
I am trying to repair an old ECHO box. The delay knob does not have any effects of changing the delay length. This transistor is on the "delay" ( and eventual connects to the Tape Motor) path. There is no schematic available so I have to match the cap/transistor based on the originals.
This transistor's mark says C828 and I assume this is a 2SC828. However, the leads seems different from the information I obtained online for a standard 2SC828 which should have the leads as 1 (E), 2(C), 3(B).
For this transistor, it shorts between 1 and 3 (defective, I assume). But it also shows "OL" between leads 2->1 , 0.59v between 1<-2. And "OL" between 2->3 , 0.59v between 3<-2. So it seems that this transistor has 2 as Base, am I right? Is this still a 2SC828 transistor but having a different leads placement?
Thanks
