Transparent vinyl on Interplay System X-10

Hi! I have a perfectly functional Mitsubishi Interplay X-10 at home. Yesterday, I bought a transparent vinyl and it won't work. When I press play, the arm and needle move all the way to te middle, then comes back at its initial spot. Like the sensors wont detect the disc or something. Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks
