Trio Ka 7100 Phono left channel low vol

Hi all hope you can help i have just got hold of a Trio Ka 7300 . and the left channel vol is a lot lower then the right channel , when i turn balance all the way to the left i can hardly hear it , but right is fine . am getting some crackle from vol and balance dial even after deoxing it , any ideas.

Spray the contacts on the input selector switch with Deoxit or similar contact cleaner, then switch it back and forth repeatedly. If the problem is due to oxidised or dirty switch contacts, that should fix it.

...Though it sounds like it's more likely a component-level problem in the phono preamp section.

Thought I had sorted it last night cleaning the vol pot , it was back again today .did what you said and cleaned the input selector and bingo work well again . Many thanks for the help

So, is it the 7100 or the 7300?:dunno:

Both great, owned a 7100 new back in the day, currently a 7300.
