Trio KA-8100 not Kenwood KA-8100

Hi Guys,

I'm quite disappointed after I found that Trio KA-8100 (Japan version) has entirely different hardware construction on Kenwood KA-8100, I thought they have identical design since they have the same specifications (75wpc) and model number. Trio KA-8100 "http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-SanJose/8669/kenwood3.htm", Kenwood KA-8100 "http://www.geocities.com/cdkands/outmode". As far as I know, only Kenwoods (not Trio) mostly have Service Manual available, I can't see any service manual for Trio on my search so far. Anyone can help me to find right schematic diagram for Trio? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum.
I always believed TRIO & Kenwood was the same, but obviously not.
I checked with ASWO and they only know Kenwood so no help there.
Perhaps you can describe the fault and someone will tick-in with a helping advice for you to be able to FIXITNOW :thmbsp:

Kind regards,

There is a Kenwood model made like that and I think Calabshak is right about the KA801. I remember working on this model years ago. It's a bitch reaching down into that friggin' heatsink to replace the output transistors. This was before I had hemostats...

Kenwood KA-801/8011 uploaded for FIXITNOW.
Go take a look if it's what you need.

Kind regards,
