I got a tip from a friend that a long defunct motorcycle shop had been cleaned out and the contents put to the side of the road. I pulled several boxes of manuals, parts lists, and dealer promotional items from the pile. The period covered is mid fifties to early seventies. Brands represented are BMW, Bridgestone, Cushman, Ducati, Honda, Indian, Jawa, Kawasaki, Matchless, Moto Guzzi, Norton, Simplex, Triumph, and Zundapp. Here are a few examples:

all great man-cave display items.Im a motorcycle dude and ive got a few vintage signs ,posters adorning the walls as well as art,and hunting trophies.
I spend a fair amount of time off work looking for such ,vintage collectable are definantly cool

Here's the story according to the elderly brother of the deceased shop owner:
The DSO's son is a chemistry professor at Ole Miss. He asked his uncle to have the shop building cleaned out. Things had been steadily disappearing out of it for years. He hired a couple of guys to do the job, did not supervise, and was surprised that they cleaned it out to the extent that they did. What was at the road was paper goods in plastic garbage bags. I was at least the third person to go through it, so there is no telling what originally was out there. I talked to the older gentleman and he was happy that someone was getting the stuff rather than it being thrown away. He showed me around the shop, which really was cleaned out. You would think that they would have seen the value but apparently they did not.
