Trouble with a Technics SL-1600 MK2

Hey all!

I’m working on a SL-1600MK2 for a friend, and I’m having an odd issue that I am hoping someone here has run into and solved.

I have both 33 and 45 lights coming on simultaneously, and the platter is spinning back and forth erratically.

I have re-recapped the motor board and the microcontroller. Just curious if anyone has run into something like this at all.

I’ll grab some voltages tomorrow morning when I’m in the shop on some of the ICs.

Thanks all!

I feel like the hall elements are fine.

Here’s the voltages I’m getting on the AN6682 chip

Pin 1 6.06
Pin 2 1.85
Pin 3 - 3.19
Pin 4 - 0.73
Pin 5 - 0v (at least that’s right!)
Pin 6 - 6.56 (should be 3.9v)
Pin 7 - 2.49
Pin 8 - 2.88
Pin 9 - 14.35 (should be 9v)

Also at the Zener diode at D3, I should be getting 5v and I’m getting .1v

No clue. Maybe the caps that feed the AN6682 IC are tired. Or a bad IC. Not an expensive IC and relatively easy to obtain just in case
