Troubleshoot Klipsch Forte II

Just purchased a nice set of Forte II but noticed that the right speaker was louder than the left. Switched speaker cables, etc. and no change but in using Audio Test Tones noticed that low frequencies, eg drum rolls, were ok but the 1Khz tone was noticeably lower on the left than on the right. Curious: new caps on xover to resolve the problem? connection to mid range driver? other recommendations? ....before I order a set of Crites Xovers. Many thanks to any thoughts.
