Troubleshooting another Magnavox 9300 console pull amp

After probably 1-2 hours of operation, the PT is running 121F on the bell end. Pretty close to Dave's reported 120F after 3 hours of operation when all the 9300 mods are done.
 
What 4 ohm speakers did you try? I'm kind of surprised it tested better with an 8 ohm load. All I've used on mine are 6 and 8 ohm speakers since thats all I have.

Was using 4 and 8 ohm dummy loads to do the testing.
 
Dave's notes states he got 15.5 WPC @ 4 ohms and 11 WPC @ 8 ohms. This is a modified version though.

I was thinking about performance from a THD standpoint in that 4 vs 8 ohm dummy load comparison. You are also correct about full mod power numbers though.
