I just bought a Heathkit "Mohican" general coverage portable radio (receiver) from AKer truck99 and it was a great experience. Particularly noteworthy was the truly "bomb-proof" quality of his packing. Excellent and highly recommended.

Thanks!!!

I listened to some AM (BC) on it yesterday... I am not sure what the deal is with the bandswitch, but I have located instructions on restringing the bandspread tuning, so I am optimistic overall! These were beautiful and not insubstantial radios; thanks again!

I'm rebuilt a Scott and Fisher tube amp for Tim and the dude knows how to pack! I learned a thing or two for sure! Not to mention stand up guy. :thmbsp:
