Jam packed the ports with some towels, got 'em up off the floor on cinder blocks, spaced them about eight feet apart and three feet from front and side walls and LF extension has improved. I'd say they're reaching down to 40hz now with good db. Nice and punchy with some depth and still very musical. This type of bass I really like, but still I'd like to hear them dig a little deeper. Next I'll modify the enclosures to get a little more volume out of them, put a permanent cover plate over the port, and stuff the hell out of them with some fiberglass. Tried them out last night with some Paradigm 5se's and then some Dynaco 25's stacked on top of the subs so I got kind of a three way effect going. Set the crossover for the subs at about 60hz and it sounded fantastic. I REALLY like trying out different bookshelf type speakers with them. It's like I've broken into a whole new dimension of possibilities.
