Trying out "crazedlist.org"

[sweitzel]

There is a site out there that will search ALL of the US craigslist sites for you simultaneously. Just to test it out, I put in the search term "Vintage TV Television" (without quotes) and ticked For/sale and ALL Craigslist (which is apparently not recommended, CL can ban your IP address)

Anyway, I thought you AK'ers would like to see the results. Most of these are TV's from 1949 to 1962

Hmm, how soon before this is moved to D&S?

I have also successfully used Craigs Helper, another CL "meta" search engine.

crazedlist will get you banned from craiglist quickly. Don't ask me how I know.

Oops, I didn't realize there was a more appropriate forum for this. Thanks for setting me straight.

I don't get it...why would they ban you for using a more detailed search engine than there own? I need details please.

If you read the Craigslist Ts&Cs, you will see it is against their rules. As with many rules, they do not need a reason, it’s just policy.

I suspect they do not want the load from such engines hitting there servers.
