Trying to choose what gear to use where

Receivers:
  • Harmon / Kardon AVR 20II
  • Harmon / Kardon AVR 55
  • Onyko TX-DS494
  • Technics SA-GX670
Speakers:
  • Boston Acoustics A-200 (with Dayton Audio DC250-8 10" Classic woofers for now)
  • Infinity SM80 (with JAMO 20418 8" Treated Paper Cone woofers for now)
  • NAD 20
  • Cambridge Sound Works Ensemble II/TheSurround II 5.1/Movieworks II 5.1/Center Channel II all by Henry Kloss (8 pieces + 2 stands)
Placements & sources:
  • Big living room (for listening to vinyl, computer, watching TV)
  • Bedroom (computer)
  • Small, one-man office (computer)
(Got the AVR 20II, TX-DS494, and the CSW speakers, plus a Harmon / Kardon FL 8300 CD changer the other day all for $40.)

So what I'm wondering about is: what receiver will go best with what speakers and room?

I'm thinking the Technics and the A-200s in living room (with the Infinitys or a pair of the CSW as rear speakers on another receiver) fed by the soundcard of a computer; the Onkyo with the CSW speakers and optical out from the computer in the office; the HK AVR 55 with the NADs and maybe a little subwoofer (from Altec Lansing computer speakers) in the bedroom.

All-knowing AudioKarmans: Advice appreciated.

Unfortunately, this is one of those "you'll just have to try it out" scenarios. Too many variables, and room size/placement is always something of a crap shoot when it comes to the best sound for the room...
