TT SANSUI SR- 838 vs ELAC MIRACORD 50H

Hello, I have the opportunity to buy one of these two turntables to replace my JVC QL-A2. They are: Sansui SR-838 vs ELAC Miracord 50H (mk1). Both are in good condition, needing simple adjustments, with the Sansui being more expensive (not much). I will use one of them in a Sansui SEVEN receiver. Which of the two turntables has better sound and construction quality? I know that the Sansui is manual and the ELAC is automatic, but I would use the manual one, if the quality is better.

I guess you got the 838 which is the choice I would have made.

Post a pic of it...turntable or sansui forum. Folks like seeing pics of that tt.

The 50H looks great and it is a good table, but it is a bit clunky. The Sansui is the ticket in this head to head. I have owned both. I loved the look of the 50 but it was replaced by a 1219.

I once owned a Sansui SR-838, re-capped it for reliability and upgraded the captive leads, ran it with a 2M Bronze, fantastic TT.
