Hello Sansui fans I have decided I want at least one more Sansui tuner and I thought somewhere on here I saw a TU-7700 in some great pics , but I can't seem to find them now . Anyway I think a TU-7700 close to the top of my list if I recall it has funky side panels?? or am I on crack?

The side panels are die cast Aluminium.
I had a TU7700 and posted some pics. Its a fantastic tuner - but I sold mine. Have too much good tuners...

Yes, I have a TU-5500 connected to a pair of JBL LSR28P's in our office......
Looks like this line of tuners had those same die cast sides....

Great little tuners........

I am a Sansui lover, but have you heard LSR28-P studio monitors? Self powered active 2way, they retailed here at around $4800NZ a pair in New Zealand.....They are very very excellent sounding monitors....
That tuner, raw, straight into those monitors sounds unreal!!

But yes you have a beautiful set there, I was thinking it would be nice to get something to match that tuner I have too.
I enjoyed the day I secured a TU999 to go with my AU999. Its definitely nice to have the matching set....

I didn't mean to imply that your setup was in anyway inferior - just saying a matching set is a thing of beauty.

Mine were purchased new by my father-in-law in 1974. They will be staying in the family as long as I am around! (I think my brother-in-law, upon returning from 3-years in Dubai, was a wee bit miffed that I had them!).
