Tube Audio Design owners-hello!

For members who have a TAD-150 do you find it to be particularly hard on the tubes? At power up the tubes turn on as fast as a light bulb. That can't be good for them. Just wonderin'...

you still have your TAD-150 after all this time? How you enjoying it? I’m considering picking one up again. Been years since I owned it but only sold it Due to circumstances out of my control.

Yep. I still have it and enjoy it a lot. I usually rotate a bunch of stand alone tubes amp with it. I love the sound of it. I just re-tubed it with a set of Raytheon JAN 6201s and will rotate it back in to the main system soon. I do regret selling the TAD-60 though. :(They were a nice match.

Any of you have a set of the TAD 1000 monoblocks? I have a set I traded for but really don't have speakers that need that kind of power. It's loaded with KT120 tubes.

Very nice!! Looks brand new...

Did you get the remote too?

yep! But I plan on getting a aluminum learning remote from alibaba etc. it’s the cheapy plastic one but does the job

now time to play around with some tube rolling. Any favorites in the 150?

Let us know how the new remote works out and which one you bought. I still have my original one but i would like a replacement just in case.

I liked the RCA Black Plate 12AT7 a lot. I have also used the the Tele 12AT7 and they where good just a little rolled off on the top end. Right now I have a set of Raytheon 6201 in there but I don't have enough time with them to make a determination yet. They are either JAN or JHS as they have a nice anchor logo on them.
