Tube DAC-09 case removal?

I'm finally getting around to trying some tube rolling with my DAC-09 (I know....I'm late to the party).
I think it sounds great with the stock tube but I have a GE 5670 white star that I'm going to try.
Any tips for removing the case? Which screws need to be removed?

I no longer have the -09 but IIRC the rear and bottom screws at the edges of the case have to come out. Then you'll need a thin putty knife to get one side away from the chassis - it doesn't just slide off. Put the blade between the bottom and the cover.

When I put it back on it was hard to get some of the holes to align. I think you'll like that GE tube. I used it.

Remove the 4 screws on the case top and the four screws on the (top) case lip where it wraps around on the bottom and gently press rearward. It can take a couple of minutes to reattach but is quite easy with a little patience.

Any of the GE premium 5670 tubes like the red and white star or GE US Military tubes will be a significant step up in audio quality from the tube that comes with the DAC-09.

Thanks guys, I was able to remove the case and now I'm rocking the GE tube.
The tube seems to be working fine so far but I'm wondering....what are the symptoms of a bad tube?
Is it just a lack of good quality sound or is there something else that a bad tube will cause?
