Tube Noob - Need Some Tube Sources

I recently added a 2-channel tube pre-amp to my system. I am really enjoying the different SQ it brings to my system.

I'm looking for some good sources for 6SN7 tubes. I'm wondering what sources my fellow tube listeners use for their tube needs.

Thanks in advance for your input!

These sound great to me and you can get them by tomorrow.
There are many more options but this is a great cheap first tube to try. They have a nice balanced sound too.

So gents...I am looking for sources, i.e., where to buy. I'll evaluate specific brands later after I have an idea where to buy them.

Thanks!

I have been using the Tung-Sol reissue 6SN7 and 6SL7 tubes with good luck.
As for vintage the brown base Sylvania 6SN7 tubes which are usually mil spec
sound great. A company called Radio Electric Supply carries vintage tubes
as does Tube Depot and Antique Electronic Supply. All three are reputable
sellers and have quality in house testing equipment. I don't think they
like us posting websites here but you can do an internet search to find any of these
companies.
I use the 6SN7 as my phase inverter for my guitar amps as well as
the hifi amps I built and for me the Tung-Sol reissue and the old Sylvania
have never let me down with respect to reliability and sonic quality.

I got 6J5s from Viva Tubes on Ebay for a very reasonable price. My experience was good -- worth checking out. They seem to have a good selection of the more common tube types.

I recently posted a request for certain tubes in Bartertown and got some great responses from AK members. Good place to start.

just don't pay crazy money for a 6SN7. They're very common in old and new production, lots of options out there for reasonable money.

6SN7/6SL7 are easy to find. Radio Electric Supply in Florida are straight shooters and have stock to drool over. Keep in mind there are options on the 6SL7...type 6188 and 6SU7 come to mind.
cheers,
Douglas
