Tube Suggestions For Schiit Valhalla II

So I am looking to roll the stock tubes in my amp and was wondering what the best sounding option would be at a good price point? the amp was $350 so I'm not looking for anything crazy.
it uses 6922/6dj8 and equivalent.

The best 6922 I've found is the Gold Lion 6922. About $45 but well worth it. I'm using it in my $2800 Conrad Johnson preamp. So there ya go!
 
I use Bugle Boy's in mine. I liked them enough to purchase a set of spares, and they're not exactly cheap.
Note-They can be microphonic.

I only have a Amperex Holland Orange Globe 6DJ8 and Amperex USA 8416 (basically a 12DJ8, though I don't know which Amperex 6DJ8/6922/etc. it corresponds to). Both the Orange Globe and 8416 sound great. An 8416 won't work in a Schiit amp, but a PCC88 (7DJ8) will. PCC88s are essentially ECC88s/6DJ8s with a 7V heater and can be cheaper than their 6.3V equivalents, though some sellers have caught on to this fact.

As mentioned in dcmfan's link, watch out for counterfeits! If the lettering on a supposedly NOS tube looks suspiciously fresh (esp. if it's Amperex Bugle Boy, Mullard, or Telefunken), then chances are it's a rebranded Eastern European, Chinese, or 6ES8 tube. The 6ES8's internal structure is identical to the 6DJ8's but it is a variable-mu tube, which is not suitable for audio use.

Don't be too fooled by a new production tube. I've posted over at the tube forum in Audioasylum that these tubes maintain a "vintage" sound. Try one you may be very pleasantly surprised.
 
Wish I could give an opinion on the new tubes. I came into a stash of Amperex JAN CEP 6922s and 7308s (late 1960s) several years ago. 8 of each. Sold 6 of them recently, for much more than I paid for the entire lot. I have compared them to a few 6DJ8 types, like 1970s Philips JAN, 1990s National, and a few others I can't remember. Oh, and I swapped one in for a JJ 6922 a few months ago when I acquire a new amp, very noticeable improvement. So didn't like the JJ, but other new tubes could be good. Love the Amperex. I figure I'm set for life with the 10 I still have.
 
Theoretically less gain in the output due to the filament voltage; the 6DJ8 is for 6.3 volts and the 7DJ8 is 7 volts, your preamp will be fine, just let us know your findings.
