Tube Tester Question

A local guy has two tube testers that both have the same problem.. When he test a tube the meter will max out to the left with all tubes.. Even tubes that have tested good on other testers..

Any suggestions to check would be appreciated..

One is a Knight Kit and the other is a Jackson model 49... Not sure if the models are right though..

Thanks, Brent

Open the tester(s), and replace the rectifier tubes (probably type 80's). That should cure the problem.

If you have the service manual, adjust the meter sensitivity according to the instructions.

Best regards,

Ryan

Thanks Ryan...

I'll pass that on...

This guy said he opened up both tube testers and are solid state.. If so what should he check next.. Should I get the make and model numbers..

I haven't seen these testers we've been emailing..

Thanks, Brent
