I've got a Heathkit TC-2 (circa 1956) which I purchased a few years ago; it's been my only tube tester since then. The other day, I saw a Jackson 648A (circa late '40s, and probably twice the size of the Heathkit) for sale for what seems to be a relatively good price. My question is: would it be wise to pick up the Jackson, or should I just hang on to the Heathkit? I don't use tube testers all that much, but it's one of those things that's nice to have around. Does anyone have any experience with one being better than the other, more versatile, more accurate, etc.?
