RCA Tube "Salvage Schedules" 2A3, Low plate current shrinkage may be salvaged by tapping with hard felt hammer, Tap tube on dome in a plane parallel to the top mica while the AC test procedure has been interrupted, retest. 6J5 & 12J5 Low plate current shrinkage may be salvaged by bumping with the flat of the plate horizontal to a hard surface, retest. 6L6-G, Tubes rejected for high plate current may be reclaimed by bumping on a soft surface while cathode is hot. retest twice and quality tested after.
