Here in Arizona the summer's are too hot for tubes. So after 6 months I finally got the Knight's back on line again . . . TODAY.

In the summer I run a Sansui 2000x SS receiver which does the job well also with the EV's.

The first LP in six months (and sounding sweet) is Miles Davis, Milestones Six Eye Mono

I thought I would share this system with some shots I took today.

Thanks guys! I found the Regency's on Black Friday in 2008. It was my dream thrift score for believe it or not $50. I did nothing to them except remove the grill cloth on the one, which I prefer the look.
I absolutely love these speakers and they sound incredible.

The Knight's are performing well after their six month rest.

Pardon my mess, LOL, but here's a pic of my old 50s-ish speakers & tubes. The cabs have a weird base, as you can see, so they have to sit upside down, they won't sit right on the NS1000-Ms. :D They hold the Stephens Tru-Sonics 15" full rangers, & the crossovers & tweets (034s) are from JBL 4401s. They play REALLY well together, and sound a little better overall than the yams, which is saying something. :yes: BTW, that's a Sansui AU-7700, pullin' preamp duty, one that flies under the radar, I really like it. :thmbsp:

Nice tube set-up CB. Love the look of the EV's. I have a couple of those Sansui 2000 series amps and they certainly carry their weight. :music:

Wow, just got a nice Thanksgiving present, a Scott 299b amp. Coming next week
price wasn't to bad, needs a little cleaning but should be good.

I hooked my Sansui 1000A up today and found that I gonna have to change the Elna cans. No tubies for me :no: but Mitsu ain't bad. Love the speakers!!

Here's what I'm listening to- rolled some Mullards ( AT7s & 6AV6s) and lovin' it!

Just got home and having some more Apple pie :D

A Lafayette KT-600 would be a nice match, that or a Citation I. A McIntosh C-22 or Marantz 7 as well, except much more pricey. :yes: The list goes on, a Fisher 400CX, Pilot 216A or a Scott 130, would all do nicely.
 
Thats some nice stuff you got there Bob....I've seen your other pics as well. Very nice! You know I love eye candy...I was all over your thread showing all your gear.
 
Those Knights are beautiful little amps. Nice speakers also. :thmbsp:

I still use tubes in the summer. My little single ended 6B4 amp doesn’t put off any more heat than a tv. That’s what I keep myself, makes me feel better.
 
Thanks guys! Thanksgiving was great and I ate way too much turkey as usual.

Played tons of Jazz all day! It was a fun day and have all weekend to keep it alive!! :thmbsp:

Strictly tubes in the house year round, except for my 2 FISHER Hybrid consoles. Nothing as highend as above. Everything is FISHER. 800C, 1951 Coronet MONO Console in the living room, 1959 Consolette with 560 Extension in the bedroom. Sansui1000A and Fisher 400 running in the Basement.
