They're still asking $6,900... If I recall correctly I offered 1/20th as much for the parts and repair unitThese are not hard to find...the Ronald Reagan one ist still for sale...now way "cheaper".

Most definitely. Her ears are much more sensitive than mine, she says it's the best SS tuner I've had... and I agree.Does it get the “Bark” of Approval?
Since you introduced the subject: What’s the best tube tuner you’ve had? And what other SS tuners have you had? Most definitely. Her ears are much more sensitive than mine, she says it's the best SS tuner I've had... and I agree.
I probably have more than that, but most are to be sold. There are more than a handful that would be very hard to let go of, including two ARCAM Alpha 8's, three Kenwoods, a Sanyo Plus T-55, and a Parasound T/DQ 1600.
I invested in a variac with a DIM bulb tester to bring the unused ones up to full voltage and power.
One of the values of "collecting" is that comparisons can be made to decide what you want to keep. Had I not collected so much, I would have never found this relatively rare jewel.+1 on the Sanyo T55.
The t35 gets good reviews as well and has a 4 gang analog tuner. One of the values of "collecting" is that comparisons can be made to decide what you want to keep. Had I not collected so much, I would have never found this relatively rare jewel.
No doubt, the Marantz 10b. Don't know if you noticed the one I have sitting above the Sequerra in my photo. What’s the best tube tuner you’ve had? And what other SS tuners have you had?
No, although I had their 'broadcast monitor' for a couple of months on loan from a very good friend to buy if I wanted it. It was good but not as good sounding as the original "1".And have you heard the reissue?
All of them great SQ wise with my 'top tier' being best.I’m also curious about its strengths: reception? SQ?
Of course, as God intended. Pets should always take precedence over audio equipment.…
btw, and shared with you, I have a 275-6 and C22-4 as my amp/pre in the living room system. My dog photo bombed the C22.
I think you still qualify as a “freak”…While not a tuner freak, I collected a couple while filling out stacks.
