Okay this is going to sound like a silly question. But I've actually ran into this problem a few times. I don't have too much experience tearing down these vintage receivers but I've got a Yamaha Natural Sound CX-420 receiver here I just picked up for $19.99. It looks to be in great shape but the light behind the tuner is burnt out and some of the knobs are noisy. I'm trying to get the faceplate off to clean it up and see about changing the lamps. The thing is I've got all the knobs off except the tuner knob. Like I've said I think I've run into similar problems with other receivers too. All the knobs just pulled off except for the two selector knobs and they had little tiny allen keys in them that I had to loosen out with an allen wrench. But the tuner knob doesn't have any little allen key in the side of the knob and it certainly doesn't seem to pull off either! Of course I can't get the faceplate off with the big tuner knob on there!
So how do these things come off? I can't figure it out!
Thanks in advance
Jake
