Tuner lights on Marantz 22xx

This question is going to show my shallowness Do the tuner lights on Marantz 22xx receivers stay on when playing through another input (aux, phono)? I've always thought the 22xx blue lights are really good looking but the tuner lights on my Sansui 1000x are only on when listening to the tuner. I hate to think that those beautiful blue lights on Marantz receivers only light when playing the tuner.

You're in luck, they're always on. The tuner pointer will go dark though.

Great. I'm trying to sell a Music Hall integrated. Maybe I'll add that I'm willing to trade for a Marantz.

Your sansui's lights are powered through the selector switch, easy to just wire your lights directly, just tap em in before the switch.
