For the last three or four months my Denon TU-400 has been forgetting preset stations. I use a surge protector strip to turn the power on and off. From searching AK, I've read that some tuners use batteries to maintain memory. Somewhere in the past someone told me about dealing with a tuner or receiver that used a capacitor to maintain memory. I'm guessing that the amnesia results from a battery or capacitor problem.
As long as I turn the tuner on every day, it works fine. But, if I leave it off for a couple of days, it forgets everything.
Anyone know anything about the TU-400? Battery? Capacitor? Something else? Anyone know where to find the battery or capacitor in this unit?
