For really good fast tight bass, I like Herbie Hancock's Rockit..

For really pushing the windows out of their panes, and shaking the crap off the shelves, I like something Bowtie turned me onto... a favorite band and a song I hadn't heard from them before... Do be careful with this one if you've got really ass kicking subs.. it will move stuff in your house, and your wife may not be so happy.. mine wasn't when a few things fell.. It drops down to 10hz..

Nine Inch Nails - Discipline, from the album The Slip which is free to download and available in 24/96. Towards the end there is a very low end sweep that starts in the single digits...
 
I've had success with a 30 hz cone centering disc that came with some surrounds for annoying a neighbor who believed that he was exempt from construction noise regulations. Vandie Threes are rated to 26 hz so it was an interesting minute or so before I relented and turned it down. The wife was bracing herself in the doorway of the bedroom, wide eyed and wondering if it was an earthquake. The neighbor thought it was a helicopter landing on the roof. Evil? Yeah but so is an idjit with a skillsaw at 10:30 p.m.:smoke:
 
I used to live in a 4 plex apartment.
I made the mistake of selling a wicked stereo (Sansui G-8700db and ESS speakers) to a neighbor/friend who then got roommates.
Neighbor friend would get drunk and pass out. Completely passed out. Like dead. Every night.
The roommates would come home from their night jobs and blast the stereo. I wanted to kill them. But I didn't.

Instead, I found a small power transformer from some old equipment I had parted out, and connected it to my subwoofer. And went out for a late night snack.

I never heard their stereo again.

They say loud repetitive bass noises can make you crazy. hmmm

So just to be clear... you hit them with a whack of 60hz for awhile? :lmao:
 
I worked it out back in the day and it was around 100 watts of pure 60hz. For hours.

It was moving about a half an inch total xmax. I put up against the adjoining wall for reinforcement.

I was real impressed at the woofer when I got home and it was still playing! <so to speak>

Absolutely... I have the original CD. That's one of my "test" tracks too.

Usually I'm not one for heavily-compressed CD's, but there's a Japanese techno DJ who goes by the name of Fantastic Plastic Machine, and he put out a great album a couple years ago simply-titled "FPM". Great bass with sweeps and pulses and sounds coming at you from all over the place. It's compressed, but it still sounds great. I can't figure it out. If there ever was a vinyl version of that album, I'd love to find it.

Lol I fired it up and dang! That is te most bass I have ever heard! My Ns-A99 are basicall subs with a frequency response down to the low twenties. I barely even turned the volume up and stuff started falling off the walls and shelves!! :eek: I instantly downloaded the song just in case my neighbors ever get annoying :D

:D I just put a 60hz tone on at 20 watts... and can only imagine what your neighbours went through at 100 watts. No wonder you never heard them again... Nice work! :smoke:

That's hysterical. They clearly got the point. With 100 watts of constant 60hz, there's no grey area whatsoever... Helen Keller would have gotten the message.
 
J-Lo's new one "Dance Again" thumps pretty good, but still nothing compared to Penultimate though. Though I'm sure the compressed version the radio is playing isn't giving everything J-Lo & Pit Bull intended.

For situations like that where my computer isn't up to the task (due to multitasking, heat issues, or whatever), I download the video from YouTube using Jdownloader and then watch the same video using Windows Media Player. I only do this with stuff I really want to see right then and there. Otherwise I'll just get to it later.
 
I use a free YouTube downloaded called: free YouTube dowloader (totally original :D) there are alot of options and it is super easy to use and it's free :thmbsp:
