Turntable EQ question

Hi All,

New to having a turntable. I have the Audio Technica LP120XUSB and want to just hook up an EQ to it so I have some tone controls for my Klipsch The Sixes. Is this possible and what EQ can you recommend. Trying to keep the set up as simple as possible.

Yes they are powered. The turntable has a pre-amp as well.
