I'm new to the turntable scene and was hoping for some help with a hum. The turntable I am using is a Dual CS 607. When I first played it there was a hum coming from one of the speakers and now it has spread to both of the speakers. When I touch the AV cables coming from the turntable but before my pre-amp the hum will get much louder. How do I replace the cables? And would there be anywhere else this hum would be coming from? Any help or tip are greatly appreciated.

If you cannot see the interconnect wiring, then you might need to get inside/under the table. Chances are that a cleaning or re-tightening of the RCA interconnects is all that is needed....
Searching on this forum is easy, via the magnifying glass icon at the top of the thread. Grounding/hum issues are common with high gain devices, like our phono preamps connected to ttables...Reading aside, though, make sure your volume is way down while "adjusting" the cables...
