Turntable Not Turning

Turntable
Sony PS-LX350H

I purchased the above turntable in the early 90s and it has served me well. A couple weeks back I left it on overnight (with the needle off thankfully) when I discovered it still spinning I turned it off immediately. When I turned it back on the speed was erratic, not constant. It did this for a bit then stopped turning all together.

I was hoping it would just be the belt, so I took off the rubber turntable cover and the turntable. The belt was still on one piece but very loose around the spindle. I made sure it was around the spindle but no luck. Then feeling the spindle I could tell it wasn't turning. I tried turning it on at different speeds but nada.

My gut tells me its the motor. Its 6v DC. But IMG_9204.jpg IMG_9205.jpeg IMG_9207.jpeg when I opened it up and powered on I could not get 6v at the motor. so now Im wondering if its something else.

Hoping someone might have a direction I could take to fix it. Im including some pictures so you can see what I'm dealing with.

thanks in advance

Early nineties, huh? How's come the motor has an August 31, 2001 date code? Motor replaced? Also, disconnect the motor first and then measure the voltage to it. If the motor were to be drawing a lot of current, it would load the voltage supply.
