Turntable spinning at full speed

Hi guys, I really need some help here. I have the NEC AUP-7300e which i really want to get it working. It's a direct drive. I have sprayed contact cleaner on all switches. and I have also recapped the unit but the problem is still there. Can anyone help?

Manual can be downloaded here. Not sure why the website state it's a belt drive unit.. but it's a direct drive.

The problem may persist with the trim pots that control the speed for the 33 and 45 rpm, that you will need to manually adjust the speed with a small flat head screw driver while looking at the strobe and ensure you are adjusting to the appropriate hertz cycle.

You should center the external speed pots before manually adjusting the internal trim pots to ensure you have equal adjustments between slow and fast.
