Turntables with track select?

I own the Sony PSFL-77 on which I can program the tracks. SONY was also selling the PSFL-7 with programable tracks

I have the Technics SL-QL15 linear tracker. Uses an led to "read" track locations, stores in memory and plays tracks in sequence selected. It can be kind of finiky about reading the surface and locating tracks. Depends on surface reflectance and width of space between tracks. I rarely use it in the program mode, but it is a suprisingly good player.

Yes, indeed. I haven't set up the living room system yet - just an amp, cassete deck and CD changer. Last weekend with friends we decided we wanted to listen to some LPs. No TT setup there, though. I just went into storage, brought up the SL-QL15 and plugged it in. Everyone was astonished with how simple TTs can be (just like a CD player one said - open the clamshell door, insert disk, close lid, select track and push Start).

Mine came as a package deal with se set of preamp, power amps, tuner and equalizer but works fine, needs no repair or adjustments - not even cleaning - and sounds great too. The cart/stylus will eventually need to be replaced and need to find a decent T4P one.

Seems to me I have a linear tracking Sony that does track select, limited to 3 selections Never got it running so it is at the bottom of a pile for my "Someday I'll"

Fisher (Studio Standard) MT-275 has track select. Just saw one at a local thrift, unfortunately with a broken tonearm.

The Pioneer PL-88FS noted earlier uses LED and photo diodes to do track select allowing for up to eight selections. Works quite well and relatively quickly, I have two of them on hand. The HOMC cartridge sounds very good.

You can usually get one quite cheaply because "The drawer does not slide all the way back in" simply because someone tipped it back without taking the 45RPM adapter out and it fell back into the works.

I've got a rare (try finging info!) Sansui XR-Q11. It also has a track selection feature.

I have had Technics and Fisher units with this feature. I currently have
an Onkyo turntable with this function. I don't remember the model number
at this moment.

I own a Technics SL-J2 with this feature. Bought it on the 'Bay for a whopping $15 a few months ago. It's so easy to operate, even my wife and kids use it!

I've got the Akai, and my Technics SL-6 is also progammable (the PX-101 isn't). The Akai is particularly nice, spring-suspended chassis a la B&O, and the sensor is on a seperate arm, so any 1/2" cart works. The Sony with track selection is the PS-FL770, the FL-77 and FL-7 don't (I have the last two). The Hitachi HT-L70 (a decent knock-off of the SL-10) is another, but is built in to the original T4P cart. I have a Zenith-on-a-drawer coming that's programmable (CV-660).

I owned the Accutrac 4000 which I purchased in 1977 for around $500.00. The sound was very good and it worked beautifully for over ten years of regular use. It even worked fine considering two moves to California and back in the back seat of my car! It was a cool toy in it's day.

I remember fixing a Sharp upright turntable with track-select. Fascinating design.

A VERY long time to add in a reply since the last post. But Fisher also had a few models that did this. I have the Fisher MT-275, which has a track select (up to 16 tracks I believe), a single digit Track # indicator, & a repeat function, among it’s other features.
