Currently got the vintage 50's-80's TV show & film bug right now. What are some of your guy's suggestions (Shows, films, episodes, etc.) that can be found on YouTube that I may enjoy? Doesn't have to be popular, lots of the stuff I stumble upon tends to be obscure by nature :)

I've watched previous shows like The Littlest Hobo ('63-'65 & '79-'85, incl. '58 film) and a very small snippet of Jack Benny and Rin Tin Tin. In other terms I like comedy/humor, Melodramas and dogs.

I'm not much of a fan of modern TV shows/series but I do enjoy a couple; Mrs. Brown's Boys and Bear vs. [whoever].

"All In The Family" is a classic sitcom that forever changed "family television". "Newhart" (BOTH of his series) were very good too. "Kung Fu" was the first "Chop-Socky Western", and was considered to be quite introspective for it`s era.
You could write a whole chapter on Britcoms...."Last Of The Summer Wine" (the longest-running sitcom ever) was great, as was "Are You Being Served ?", "Fawlty Towers", "Waiting For God", "AbFab" (Absolutely Fabulous) "Keeping Up Appearances", "The Young Ones", "Red Dwarf", and of course, "Monty Python`s Flying Circus".
 
Barney MIller, Hogans Heroes, WKRP, Addams Family. No idea if they're on YT, I watch them OTA. Some of them stream through Pluto's app.
M*A*S*H is good, both the movie and TV show. The movie is on YT.

Second that one enthusiastically. Only one dog I'm afraid, Less Nesman's dog Phil who is heard but never seen, sorta like Farfel on Seinfeld There is not one character who isn't funny in that sitcom be it radio station manager Mr Carlson (Gordon Jump), DJ's Johnny Fever and Venus Flytrap (Howard Hesseman and Tim Reid respectively) down to junior reporter Bailey Quarters (Jan Smithers) but "coveted Silver Sow Award" winner Lester "Les" Nesman (masterfully portrayed by Richard Sanders) takes top prize for wackiness. Aired from '78 to '82 iirc.
 
I like Momma Carlson.

Addams Family is on youtube. No dogs, but they have Kitty Cat.

Night Court is also a good one.
 
Anything that was on CBS Saturday night around 1973: Mary Tyler Moore, All in the Family, MASH, Bob Newhart, Carol Burnett.

Some edgy satire in all of these from time to time...
 
Very much not PC, but I've been watching all of the Boris Karloff's Mr. Wong movies on YouTube recently. For some reason they used to play them a lot when I was a kid and are nostalgic for me.

They also have all the Basil Rathbone Sherlock movies on there, which are always enjoyable.

But those are both from the late 30's and 40's so not really what you asked for.

The Prisoner from the 60's is worth watching

Although nothing with dogs comes to mind
 
There's a, imho, great 70s detective show that has a few episodes on YT called Banacek. They can all be viewed in the Imdb and Prime streaming platforms Imdb is free btw.
 
Rockford Files is funny in a wry sort of way.
I second the 1st Bob Newhart series and Mary Tyler Moore. Both shows had great casts, funny as hell.
 
How about Get Smart? Its a spoof spy show from the mid 60s with Don Adams as Agent 86. I sort of came to Get Smart in reverse, as a kid my favorite carton was Inspector Gadget, and Don Adams was the voice. After discovering Get Smart I realize how much of that show bled into Inspector Gadget.

Hell yeah, and cultured too. I'm not a fan of absurdist comedies but Brooks was my exception. He once named a character LePetomane, after a Frenchman who lived in the early 1900's and was famous for his ability to fart very loudly at will.
 
Johnny Staccato, one season from 1959, stars John Cassavetes.

Very hip Detective show with Cassavetes playing a Detective, and he also is a Jazz Pianist.
