Tweeter replacement for JBL L20T

Hello,

This is my first time posting here, I have a set of JBL L20T speakers and 1 of the tweeters is broken. I looked on ebay for an original replacement, they are all over my budget. Is there a replacement tweeter that would be similar to the original one in the L20T that is more affordable?

Thanks!

What's broken?
There are probably non-JBL tweeters that would physically fit the L20t but will not necessarily make it sound like the nice JBL it is supposed to be.
The 035ti is well-known for its fragile leads which can be broken while just removing them from the cabinet and disconnecting the Faston connector.

The 035tiA will fit with only slight mods but they cost at least as much as the 035ti. Simply Speakers sells a copy for eighty-bucks. Fake replacement diaphragms from China are all over ebay for about eighteen-bucks.

Fixing the voice coil leed wires is not too hard of a job to do. On mine out of my jbl 4312a speaks I just replaced the piece of wire that went between the connectors and the voice coil. If you don't feel comfortable doing this send it to me and I'll fix it for free as long as you pay shipping both ways :).

Dam kirkendoll I should have ask this question before diving into mine not so easy but doable. The ones I fixed sound good but look terrible. Good luck BMWCCA.

Thanks for the comments, I'm not interested in fixing it, I'm still looking for a replacemnt

@kirendoll thanks for the offfer, I might take it if I can't find a solution!

Looks like you can get Chinese replacement diaphragms for this tweeter (035Ti, if I'm not mistaken) for not much money. Anyone ever try those?
