Twin Cities get-together date.

Mr goat67! You coming, Jerry? It would be good to see you again!

If you bring a thousand watts of SS power, I'll bring a few tiny tube watts! :thmbsp:

Thanks Nate
Yes I plan on making this one was not able to last year.
Hey I can bring at least 1000 W but what speakers? I have a few amps sitting idle.

Ron, I can make it.

How about I bring those new Tyler Acoustics Decade D4's I won at the AK Fest?

Shhhh, don't tell Aaron though, I don't think he'll believe the sound that comes out of something that small....

Greg, you say that like I'm a stranger to small speakers. Let's not forget I recently used NHT Classic 3's and Infinity Modulus as my main speakers... I'm sure they do sound wonderful, I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing them!

Hey Ron, count Liz and me in! Since I've transitioned from small amps and monitors to mega-amps and floorstanders, its more difficult to transport my gear, but I could possibly be persuaded to bring the whale and/or the Rens...

Aaron, oh no, I know you are "well versed" on smaller speakers, but with me having owned a pair of NHT SB-3 speakers, and previously having auditioned a pair of the Classic 3s (can't comment on the Infinity Modulus because I haven't heard those), I can tell you that these Decade D4s are in a different league than the NHTs. Bring the Classic 3s, or the Modulus speakers, and we'll do a little A/B comparison for kicks.

Anyway, the only reason I mentioned your name in that post, being a small speaker lover yourself, is that I think you are really going to like these little Decade D4s.

Sounds good! As long as I don't have to carry it (the whale) I'm all for it ;)

NP avionic I live in Prior Lake

Still thinking about it...What part of the twin cities? My brother lives in the Savage/Lake Prior area.

I'm now planning on being there myself, I can pick you up at your bro's if you want? All I would need to know is if I would require the suburban for hauling stuff or the boxcar scion commuter.

Count me in!

Need/Want me to bring anything??

Gary....I think your amp will have a "spa" visit before then....maybe I can even get her running.

Yeah for sure I would interested in hearing a pair of indignias. I don't know if I will bring anything, maybe just some mid-fi crap that everyone seems to bring to try pawn of on each other.

Ha! Very astute observation I might add. :lmao:

Due to a slight change in plans, the IMF's may not make an encore appearance- Sony SS-TL4's may appear in their stead. Not as good, maybe better, but a lot smaller, and they're going to get picked up on the way.

I think the only other person to have heard them was Ron. And yes, they're the same set. We're stopping off in Eau Claire on the way down to pick them up. If there is room, though, I might end up bringing both sets.

I don't have any door prizes to help with, but I have a collection of half-speed masters from Nautilus Superdiscs, MFSL, & CBS Master Sound that I can help supply for listening tests. Is someone providing the turntable? Also, can we bring a friend? I have a fellow audiophile that lives in Cottage Grove, and I think that he might be interested. Let me know what you think, and I also think that I will need a PM on your address, or directions-whichever is easier.

Jason

PS-I will be there.

Hey Jason, Good to hear that you be able to make it. I have a table in my main system (Thorens TD 318 Mkiii w/ Ortofon MC30 MC) that will be available. I won't be moving from system to system but it would be nice to hear those in that set-up.

Your friend would be more than welcome to attend also. Just make sure you let me know so that I can get an accurate head count for buying grub.

I will try to let you know by the end of today. I look forward to bringing some of my albums to listen to. I also have some DMP 2 track digital discs, including one 20 bit one.
