You have the terminology wrong. Tangential = Linear tracking. As in, the tonearm and cartridge/stylus are always at a tangent to the groove.

Not at all. The pair are linear/tangential. The one with the MMC2 is conventional/radial tracking.

EDIT: whoops! revisited the ad. Thought the 3400 was tangential. They're all conventional. Sorry.
