Two different amps -> crossover filter -> speakers ???

Hi all, I am wondering if this connections can be done:

Receiver --2 x RCA-> NAD 3020i -2 x speaker cable--> Post amp crossover filter -2 x speaker cables-> Speakers
\--2 x RCA-> NAD 319 -2 x speaker cable --/

I hope my cirquit diagram is clear, the same low signal goes out from the recevier to two different amps. Then the signal is merged in a post amp crossover filter of some kind that handles amplified signals using the low frequencies from one amp and high from another.

I want to do this because I have not met the same treble detail in any amp as in my NAD 3020i, but it lacks in body, bass power and bass definition, sometging the 319 has to a great extent.

I can not Bi-amp my speakers in a normal way since their whole idea is built on a great crossover filter (Intelligent Sound IS8 MKII).

Hello and welcome.

Under no circumstance allow two amplifier outputs to connect electrically to each other, even through any component of a passive crossover. Bi-amp or pick an amplifier that can provide the effect you're looking for. If the crossover doesn't allow electrical separation you can't run two amplifiers.

I think it is not possible to do what you ask.

You'll need either one amplifier with your preferred characteristics or modification of the speakers to accept some form of biwiring/biamping.
